Welcome to Sussex Police! You have joined an organisation committed to serving the people of Sussex. Every part of Sussex Police has a vital role to play in the success of the whole, whether you are involved in front line policing, as a police staff member or as a volunteer.

We have over 3,090 police officers and over 2,350 police staff, as well as almost 300 police community support officers (PCSOs), all of whom perform a wide range of operational and support roles. 

We are also lucky to have a dedicated team of volunteers which includes a growing number of special constables and police cadets.

Sussex Police consists of three divisions; West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

Gatwick Airport is also policed by Sussex Police and is a unique and challenging policing environment with officers and police staff working closely with the airport community to effectively deliver policing, crime prevention and counter terrorism services.
