This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst continuing to be two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.


Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.


Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowance and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

This role is being introduced as part of the wider temporary Equip Interim Business Systems Team, to work within internal business units to design and refine comprehensive and adequate testing schedules. Furthermore, the role holder will facilitate the development, implementation and adherence of testing standards in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The role holder will be required to undertake detailed planning, execution and reporting of all Test management activities related to the Equip ERP Service. They will be required to work with Force IT support teams and their 3rd party suppliers to ascertain the impact on aspects such as performance following any requested releases or changes. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the development of all of the tools required for testing and configuration management activities and communicate complex issues regarding test management to a variety of stakeholders, ensuring the Equip System meets industry standards.

Skills & Experience

Proven test management experience is required, including the coordinating of initiatives such as UAT’s and OAT’s. The role holder will also need to display excellent communication skills as they will be required to communicate complex testing issues and liaise with a range of stakeholders regarding IT Service Management. Therefore, a good level of general knowledge regarding IT Service Management is also essential.

Starting salary will be dependent on relevant skills and experience.
