  • Prepare Advert

    First you need to prepare your advert text, you will also need to ensure you have a copy of the job description saved before creating your advert.

  • Login to Talentlink (eRecruitment)

    Click the icon to login to Talentlink.

    The company name for login to Talentlink is 'Surrey & Sussex Police'

    Login for Surrey employees; P45***** (* fin/collar number)

    Login for Sussex employees; User ID

  • Create and Post Your Vacancy

    Create your job advert in Talentlink and then post it to the internal and external job search pages.

  • Shortlist the Applicants

    Review the applications received against the required competencies and criteria for the role.

  • Assessment (optional)

    If required for the role, use this step to invite the candidates to undertake an assessment of your design and then enter the results.

  • Invite to Interview

    Invite the candidates to interview via Talentlink.

  • Interview Results and ID Documents

    Following the interview the ID documents must be uploaded to the interview step and the results entered.

  • Submit Successful Candidate to SBS

    Once you have your successful candidate(s), perform this step to tell Shared Business Services who will send out a Conditional Offer and start the pre-employment checking process.

  • Pre-Employment Checks

    Shared Business Services will commence the pre-employment checking process for you.  You can view the progress of these steps by logging in to Talentlink or by contacting Vetting, Occupational Health or Fingerprints directly.

  • Cleared for Start Date

    Once all pre-employment checks are clear Shared Business Services will contact you to advise you to arrange a start date with the candidate and to provide you with guidance on what you need to do next to get the candidate hired.
