The Role

The Victim Hub is a new approach to managing victim care for Sussex Police. The Victim Hub consists of multi-agency staff who collectively will support victims in Sussex. As a Victim Hub Administrator you will act as a key member of the Hub providing the administrative support, to ensure it can operate efficiently and effectively. There are 2 Victim Hub Administrator positions in West Sussex and are based within the MASH hub in Horsham.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to act as a focal point for the receipt, assessment and appropriate forwarding of all victim referrals from within the police and from other agencies into the Victim Hub. You will triage referrals daily to ensure victims receive the most appropriate support. This will include supporting the Victim Hub Co-ordinator in their duties, to provide administrative support to record referrals, actions and outcomes within the Victim Hub and in support of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) as required. You will also be required to conduct effective research using Police systems for victim referrals within the Victim Hub to ensure they are allocated to the most appropriate service. You will respond to enquiries from Partner Agencies and act as the conduit between investigators and partners.

Skills & Experience

The essential criteria: - Good keyboard and IT skills including proficiency in MS Office, Word and Excel - Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate effectively within a multi-agency setting - Possess good organisational skills with the ability to work methodically timely and accurately, while under pressure. - Good analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy skills - Experience of meeting administration and ability to take accurate minutes - Ability to document and maintain records accurately. - Must be capable of absolute discretion in handling matters of a personal, sensitive and confidential nature. - Must demonstrate resilience. - Excellent customer service skills. - Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Previous police experience is desirable.
