The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.

In this role you will be

  • To provide administrative support services to the Surrey Estates Strategy. Working proactively to ensure an efficient and well supported office infrastructure for the overall programme.
  • Provide support when ad hoc administrative requests arises.
  • To provide support for a range of meetings across the programme, including Surrey Estates PCC Board and Team Meetings. Prepare agendas/ minutes for meeting in liaison with Programme Director, other team members and consultants. Ensure meeting actions and decisions are accurately recorded and disseminated.
  • Support the set-up of systems access and IT hardware, as well as ensure appropriate vetting requirements are met and arrange for site(s) access for all team members, including external consultants.
  • Act as programme coordination point for and maintain general oversight of office space/ building functionality. Raise remedial requests as necessary in line with Force processes and procedures
  • Assist PMO Team with gathering accurate information, figures and updates for Power BI governance reporting.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of working in an office administration and/or customer service role 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Good organisational skills 
  • High levels of accuracy with attention to detail – logical method of working 
  • Able to follow written work instructions  
  • Ability to undertake detailed research and analysis skills and a good level of literacy and report writing. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (be able to talk at all levels) 
  • Computer literate, including basic use of EXCEL 
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone 
  • and be self motivated 
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to work to deadlines 
  • Able to document and maintain records accurately 
  • Well motivated, enthusiastic and well-organised 
  • Good attention to detail and evidence of understanding the importance of information precision and accuracy.  
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
