The Role & Key Responsibilities

An exciting and sought-after opportunity has arisen for a Strategy and Compliance Officer to join the Public Protection department, on a fixed term contract.  

As a Strategy and Compliance Officer, you will work to continuously improve the quality of service within areas of Public Protection including; missing people, adult protection, child protection, domestic abuse, harmful practices, and, rape and serious sexual offences.

You will research and conduct audits and data analysis in order to evaluate performance and draw recommendations for improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • A Levels or equivalent relevant experience performing at this level
  • Knowledge and experience of auditing/reviewing
  • Ability to manage complex tasks, assimilate information, analyse and interpret data and present your findings to key stakeholders, senior leaders and strategic level boards
  • A proven track record of analysing, problem solving and decision making including the ability to interpret and evaluate complex information from multiple sources and recognise trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Experience of writing comprehensive high quality documents appropriate for the purpose and audience and having excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly IT literate, including Microsoft Office products, Training or Experience in using visualisation tools and to be adept at learning new systems
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide spectrum of people, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure. Ability to work to tight deadlines and within particular timeframes.
  • A high level of self-motivation and the ability to work alone and with minimal supervision and use own initiative when the situation demands.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and resilience
  • Must be capable of absolute discretion in handling matters of personal, sensitive, and confidential nature and the safe handling of sensitive operational information.
