The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

The Service Improvement Support Officer is a critical role supporting the Service Improvement Team and being accountable for all administrative functions as required by the Head of Service Improvement.

We are seeking proactive and engaging candidates who want to make a difference to Surrey Police, with strong administration and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

The successful post holder will provide administrative support to the Service Improvement Department as well as internal and external key stakeholders.

Collating, analysing and preparing in depth reports and presentations for Senior Management, OPCC and HMI with direct responsibility for ensuring that sensitive information is appropriately handled and distributed.

Skills & Experience

• Obtained A-C grades GCEs English and Mathematics or equivalent experience.
• At least two years’ administrative experience.
• Excellent skills in MS Office packages including Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent keyboard skills or RSA or equivalent qualification to produce clear letters and statistical reports.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Pro-active and able to work unsupervised using own initiative, experience and skills to evaluate and prioritise a busy workload in order to meet deadlines.
• A flexible and organised approach to changing demands and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• To be assertive and confident in dealing with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team contributing to the success of CDD.
