The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

Main purpose of this role is to complete the critical 2-Year Airwave Refresh Project under an internal Project Manager.

Airwave Refresh will deliver a full deployment of new radios to all users in Surrey in order that this vital operational service is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Completion of all admin activities associated with Airwave handset deployment and recovery, close working with the project team, users, BAU teams and the supplier.

Physical deployment and recovery of radios across Surrey at all locations and potentially allowing for shifts and weekends.

Skills & Experience

Familiar with all aspects of digital radio technologies including principles, coverage, carriers, frequencies, interference, testing, national standards and configuration. Radio devices, handsets and in-car. Support of covert facilities.
Correct handling of cryptographic material in line with national standards and policy.

Previous device deployment experience would be beneficial but not essential.
