The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a full time Payroll Assistant on a fixed term contract within the Surrey SBS Payroll team. The Pay Desk offer first line customer support to both internal and external customers. The role offers an excellent insight into the different areas of Pay and is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a career in this area. You will be dealing with a wide range of queries, including pension, tax and NI queries. By nature this role shall require someone who thrives in a busy working environment. The role shall expose you to a wide range of issues and you will be responsible for assessing the nature of the query before providing advice and guidance to customers, escalating the query to support teams where necessary.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the role you will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own is essential. You should also be well-organised, show initiative and adaptability and be committed to delivering excellent customer service across our organisation.
