The Role & Key Responsibilities
Are you a conscientious, proactive officer with a passion for intelligence driven policing?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for uniform Police Constable positions within the Specialist Enforcement Unit (SEU).
The SEU carries out targeted disruption and enforcement operations across Sussex against those involved in serious, organised, and violent crime who use the road network to facilitate their offending. The unit also targets high harm individuals, vehicles, and locations with the aim of reducing the number of casualties on our road network.
Directed by intelligence from across the force and beyond, our focus is on organised crime groups and high harm offenders; with the aim of robust disruption, bringing offenders to justice and reducing harm to our communities.
The team has a blend of specialist skills and can use a range of measures to tackle criminals who operate in Sussex. The SEU are intervention specialists that offer a bespoke service based on the intelligence requirements of the tasking at hand. They use a range of tactics, vehicles, training, and equipment to achieve their objectives to make Sussex a hostile place for criminality. The SEU regularly travels across force boundaries to target those that offend in Sussex and bring them to justice.
The unit supports divisions and other force departments by being a task-able force resource equipped and positioned to act against those requiring a specialised response who may be undeterred by traditional policing tactics.
