The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

The Intelligence Processor (IP) is responsible for the processing of all intelligence received in to the force.

The role encompasses the receipt of ‘raw´' intelligence and involves a review of its contents against set criteria to ensure that it is evaluated, processed and disseminated appropriately.

You will be provided with comprehensive training so that you understand the required guidelines and associated systems fully in order to perform the role.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:


• Receiving and evaluating intelligence reports to ensure accuracy and to identify priority intelligence.
• Inputting intelligence onto the force intelligence database ensuring the information is accurate and it meets the relevant legislation requirements.
• Disseminating intelligence to the appropriate recipients in order to facilitate the effective flow of intelligence.

Skills & Experience

The following skills are considered essential:


• Experience of assimilating and interpreting relevant information in order to identify potential risk and ensure data quality standards.
• Proficient and accurate keyboard and data entry skills and competence in Windows based software.
• Maintain a high level of personal integrity and be cleared to work in an intelligence environment by going through security vetting.

This vacancy will be based at Woking Police Station.

There is more than one position available and successful applicants may also be held in a pool until further vacancies become available over the next six months.

All posts will be based at Woking and the role requires shift work which will include working between the hours of 07:00 & 22:00 and also some weekends. An unsocial hours allowance is provided on top of salary.
