The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

To provide coordination and support to the Foundation module of the entry routes through the PEQF entry routes on the Police Education Qualification Framework (PEQF) which includes, the Police Constables Degree Apprenticeship, Degree Holder Entry Programme, Investigating Officers and Police Community Support Officers.

Key Responsibilities

Effective and efficient coordination of all aspects of the Foundation element of the PEQF programmes.
Plan, coordinate and book external inputs into the Foundation Training Programmes.
Plan and manage the use of classroom and training spaces for all foundation training Programmes.
Manage the administration of Course Record Books, including preparation of physical records and electronic files.
Maintain electronic records associated with the PEQF courses, providing management information when requested.
Prepare and produce course material for course students.
Manage other logistical elements of the probationer courses e.g. production and issue of name badges, access cards, photographs etc. Take responsibility for purchasing and stock control of all course support material.
Coordinate and schedule the booking of all courses and the use of classrooms in support of the wider L&PD team. Manage the booking of the Foundation team minibus.
Support the effective and efficient use of the L&PD budget by being the single point of contact for departmental purchasing, including use of iProcurement and Decal.
Administer the use and maintenance of the Quick Scan / Quick Screen application.
Administer and support the Access to Work process for learners within the department.
Provide administration and office support to the L&PD Foundation Team as required.
Conduct other duties as determined by the L&PD Training Delivery Manager or Foundation Team Leader.

Skills & Experience

It is essential that the post holder has:
The ability to work under pressure and to prioritise and produce work within agreed timescales and with the minimum of supervision.
Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to develop good relationships with partners and volunteers.
Well-developed computer skills including the ability to produce meaningful management information.
The ability to plan ahead and with a keen attention to detail. Manage and prioritise their workload and respond flexibly to rapidly changing demands,
A sound working knowledge of learning and development.
Proven and well evidenced organisational skills with the ability to co-ordinate and prioritise multiple activities, responding quickly and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
