The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.
It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.
In this role you will be working 0730 - 1730 shifts 4 days per week inclusive of some weekends

Delivering first aid and medic training packages to Sussex and Surrey Police employees

Assisting in the production of new training packages


Recording attendance, organising paperwork and producing certificates for those who attend training



Taking responsibility for equipment, fixing, replacing or reporting broken items to immediate Supervisor

Ensuring force compliance with National guidelines for First Aid and Medic training for all officers and staff at all levels

Attend regular standardisation meetings

Attend regular CPD days that would benefit your work

Have a higher level of knowledge than those being taught to ensure credibility and promote a good level of first aid and medic training to motivate and encourage positivity and confidence in other trainers and the attendees

Promote new areas of training in all areas of first aid to align with a benchmark high quality standard

Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade and character of work as may be reasonably required

Skills & Experience

• Interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, persuade and motivate others • The ability to build and maintain successful working relationships within and across teams • Effective written communication skills including the ability to produce concise and accurate records/reports • Exceptional presentation skills • The ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate a high level of self-management, drive and determination • A flexible approach to problem-solving • Competence and confidence in the use of IT, particularly Microsoft Office programmes and databases
