The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Phone Digital Forensic Analyst to be based at Haywards Heath Police Station, West Sussex.

Salary Grade Range - £29,331- £38,064 plus an Unsociable Hours Allowance. A discretionary salary enhancement of up to £4,000 per annum is available following appointment, dependent on demonstrable direct relevant experience and competence.
The starting salary within the range is negotiable and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
Key Responsibilities
The Digital Forensics Team is responsible for the forensic recovery and analysis of data from seized storage devices during all investigations.
You will manage, examine and analyse high priority cases and technically complex digital devices.
You will be competent and highly skilled in the examination of a wide range of digital devices. You will produce digital examination strategies in agreement with the investigator and CPS working to strict timescales within an environment of high demand.
You will provide advice and support to investigators regarding the handling, recovery and preservation of digital evidence and complete written reports and statements, presenting evidence for court.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have two+ years demonstrable experience as a Digital Forensic Analyst working in the public or private sector.
You will have demonstrable knowledge of and competence in digital forensic software such as MSAB XAMN and UFED Physical Analyser and the capabilities of these software packages.
You will need to have a flexible approach, be aware of operational security and possess a knowledge of procedures with reference to legislation concerning Disclosure, RIPA, presentation of evidence, victim focused data protection legislation and initiatives and ISO 17025.
You will possess a high level of interpersonal and oral skills along with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels especially when giving evidence at court.

• Competitive salary of up to £38,064, not including an unsociable hours allowance.
• 25 days annual leave increasing to 29 days with service, in addition to Bank Holidays.
• Salary enhancement of up to £4,000 per year based on demonstrable experience and assessed competence as a digital forensic analyst. (Salary enhancements are subject to annual review).
