Division / Department - Estates and Facilities Management Grade - Grade E Status - Full Time Contract Type - Permanent Salary Grade Range - £22,394 - £25,963 Working Hours - 36.0 Hours per Week The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role
The Evidential Property Team is currently seeking an Evidential Property Officer for a permanent role based at Chertsey. We are looking for a well-motivated and methodical individual.
Key Responsibilities
You will work as part of the Property team responsible for administering Surrey's evidential property. You will be accountable for the safe custody and disposal of all property coming into police possession. You will deal with all evidential property coming into police possession as well as ensuring all seized drugs and money are properly documented. The role will also some driving (transporting property between Chertsey and one of three other bases within Surrey).
Skills & Experience
This role requires the post holder to possess excellent interpersonal skills as the role involves a high degree of contact with colleagues, external agencies and members of the public. The successful candidate will be well organised, able to work calmly under pressure, work independently and be self-motivated.
