This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.


Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.


Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Within Estates & Facilities, we have an exciting opportunity to be the Integration Manager to work with operational areas to help understand the business change activities that will be required, following the Estates & Facilities Transformation Programme.


Working in conjunction with the Director of Estates & Facilities and SMT, you'll ensure that the delivery of the Programme is carefully planned and coordinated to take into account the required business change activities i.e., the business processes, training and behavioural/cultural changes etc.


You'll also work with operational areas to embed changes within the business. Identifying what changes in policies, processes, procedures, and practices are needed to achieve change and deliver the planned benefits.






This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months and will be based at Sussex HQ.

Skills & Experience

Essential Qualifications:
Prince 2 Practitioner qualification or proven experience in delivering change/programme/ project management.
A Level Maths and English or equivalent
Certified in MS Office Suite, in addition to specialised in applications such as Visio, and Project or can demonstrate competence in using these applications.
There is a requirement to travel between Surrey Police & Sussex Police, so a driving licence and a means to travel, is essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Able to demonstrate proven work experience with Business Change coordination, implementing, leading and managing change initiatives.
• Designing, developing, and implementing policy and procedures across a range of functions.
• Ability to critically analyse, evaluate and develop existing processes and systems to maximise the team’s operational effectiveness, including suggesting improvements in line with industry best practice.
• Demonstrable experience of project management.
• Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to manage to deadlines.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery planning and risk management.
• Evidence of an up-to-date and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plan including reference to all designated Professional Competences
• Good decision making and strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision makers at all levels, including the ability to upwardly challenge where necessary.
• Collaborative work ethos with a number of senior stakeholders at all levels in different organisations
• The ability to work in a creative, proactive, and innovative way, collaborating with others to identify new and imaginative ideas to achieve strategic organisational objectives.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.
• Knowledge of office safety and all Health & Safety aspects of managing staff and services.
• Ability to build effective relationships across Surrey and Sussex business areas.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities, negotiate solutions and resolve problems with colleagues and customers.
• A flexible and responsive approach to meeting work demands.
• Positive about change, adapts rapidly to changing circumstances and encourages flexibility in others.
