This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst continuing to be two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowance and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role
An exciting position is available working as part of the ERP programme team as L&PD Assistant Functional Lead. (Enterprise Resource Planning) Programme. Over the next two years, the ERP Programme is working with external suppliers to upgrade Sussex and Surrey’s respective ERP systems ( SAP and Oracle People Solutions). The systems span across People Services, Finance , Duties and Resourcing, Payroll and Fleet and are essential to enabling efficient and effective processes to be undertaken that support front line Policing.
This role is a fixed term contract for two years.
Key Responsibilities
Your knowledge of L&PD and its procedures and workflows is critical to informing future design decisions. You will also need knowledge of how existing training, skills/certificate and course data is logically structured.
Although primarily focussed on the ERP upgrades you will also be supporting the implementation of Learn, the forces learning management system. Learn will be integrated to both SAP and Oracle People Solutions to provide a single, self-service platform for the management and delivery of training across both forces.
Skills & Experience
Detailed user knowledge of one or both training administration system (SAP/Oracle People Solutions) is essential.
Your understanding of L&PD’s requirements for the systems is key in ensuring that the ERP project provides L&PD with a modern innovative solution to improve the management of training and enable the transformation of learning delivery.
