You will provide advice and guidance to officers and PCSOs on the most appropriate methods of communication they should use, according to the circumstances, for example providing targeted messages to a specific community being affected by anti-social behaviour, what the content of messages should be and the most appropriate medium to use to ensure the key messages are delivered to provide the community with updates on the police activity to resolve the issues. This could also include publicising the court outcomes, where relevant and appropriate, to local communities, again using the most appropriate medium.

The post holder will be expected to form strong relationships with both internal and external departments and partners in order to influence and work in unison with them. You will be expected to give advice and guidance in use of social media and task PCSOs with face to face engagement activities after identifying opportunities. You will brief the NPT Sergeant on a regular basis, setting out what tasks will need allocating out of hours.
