The Role

We are looking to fill a vacancy for an experienced Digital Forensic Analyst currently based at Guildford HQ, Mount Browne.

Do you want to be an integral member of a specialist unit that supports all levels of criminal investigations within Surrey?

Key Responsibilities

The Digital Forensics Team is responsible for the forensic recovery and analysis of data from computers seized during all investigations.

You will manage, examine and analyse high priority cases and technically complex digital devices.

You will be competent and highly skilled in the examination of a wide range of digital devices. You will produce digital examination strategies in agreement with the investigator and CPS working to strict timescales within an environment of high demand.

You will provide advice and support to investigators regarding the handling, recovery and preservation of digital evidence and complete written reports and statements, presenting evidence for court.

Skills & Experience

You will need to be IT literate with significant work place experience in a Digital Forensics environment and possess academic achievements related to the role.

You will possess a high level of interpersonal and oral skills along with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels especially when giving evidence at court.

You will need to have a flexible approach, be aware of operational security and possess a knowledge of procedures with particular reference to legislation concerning Disclosure, RIPA, presentation of evidence and ISO 17025.
