We have an exciting new volunteer opportunity within our Intelligence Team in Woking supporting the valuable work of Crimestoppers.

This volunteer role involves using police systems to collate and feedback information to Crimestoppers, an independent charity that gives people the power to speak up and help stop crime anonymously.

The commitment required for this role is three to four hours per week between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.

It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.

As a volunteer in our intelligence team, you will access our incident recording system to obtain information about how Crimestoppers intelligence has been used and update our records accordingly. Once you have gathered the most up to date information, you will collate this into a specific format for sharing with Crimestoppers. The update you provide for Crimestoppers will also include information about positive outcomes and good news stories which support the work of the charity.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a good communicator with administration skills and great attention to detail.  Your interpersonal skills will enable successful team working and the promotion of Crimestoppers within the Force.

We will provide you with training in our incident management system, but you will need to have previous experience of using IT systems and the ability to use Microsoft Office programmes.

Previous experience of investigation, intelligence processing and/or working in a police environment would be advantageous for this volunteer role, but are not essential.
