EVOLVE, is the Sussex Police Gender Equality Network which offers professional and guidance to officers and staff of Sussex Police.

The Role

We are seeking a volunteer administrator to come and join us and support with various administration tasks.

The role will be based in East Sussex and the candidate can work from either Eastbourne, Hastings or Bexhill. The candidate will work with other team members but must have the ability to work independently some of the time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparing administration for upcoming meetings – such as circulating minutes and any meeting documents to participants ahead of the meeting.
2. Email communications – forwarding any queries and emails to individuals and departments.
3. Giving secretarial support to the Evolve Executive team, and their work stream groups as and when required.
4. Taking minutes at meetings if required
5. Assist with maintaining the membership spreadsheet.
6. Assisting with the development of and maintenance of maternity / adoption / parental leave spreadsheet

Skills & Experience

1. IT Skills – including Microsoft Office and Word and the confidence to learn and embrace new IT systems and to be prepared to learn and embrace new IT systems.
2. Understand and support the principles of confidentiality and an awareness of your obligations under the Data Protection Act.
3. Clear and concise communication skills, written and spoken
4. Be passionate about supporting equality networks.
5. Good organisation skills
6. Ability to work as part of a team.
