The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role
Accountable to the CDASU Sergeants & CDASU Detective Inspector and working in a Multi agency team to the joint objective of lowering the Harm posed by the Cohort under our management.
Responsibilities will be -
- The management of those offenders who are already subject to a Stalking Protection Order in liaison with the MAPPA Responsible Authority and the Duty to Co-Operate Agencies in accordance with relevant National MAPPA Guidance and the Operational Guidance for the management of SPO offenders.
AND
- You will be responsible for the management of High Harm DA Perpetrators who are on our High Harm DA Perpetrator Program for multi agency intervention.
The role is a Fixed Term Contract until the 31st July 2022
Key Responsibilities
To conduct home visits for the purpose of monitoring the risk of the particular offender. Identify changes in risk factors and ensure appropriate action is taken to manage and where necessary review the risk. To check the offender is complying with legislation and court orders, and to detect possible offences.
To be responsible for the updating of the National ViSOR system in line with agreed national standards and interrogating the system in respect of enquiries regarding Sex and Dangerous Offenders.
To complete detailed risk assessments, in line with the Active Risk Management System (ARMS) and associated risk management plans, to identify, assess and manage the risks posed by offenders.
To investigate any breach of notification offences/SHPO committed by registered sex/violent/stalking offenders.
To complete evidential files and liaise with the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS).
Making applications for civil orders, such as SPO`s To ensure that the PNC system and local Police intelligence systems are up to date and reliable in relation to our nominal’s.
To undertake safeguarding disclosures to third parties in line with relevant Legislation applicable to the individuals. To inform and support the direction and oversight of the Multi Agency Case Review Meetings and sharing information with other agencies via ECINS.
To undertake any other specific task as directed consistent with the grade and responsibilities .
Skills & Experience
Excellent Communication skills - including within a Multi Agency setting
Sound Investigative skills and good standard of writing skills to complete complex reports for panel meetings and potential Legal proceedings.
Good understanding of how to use Intelligence to build an evidential case that can then be used to manage non compliant offenders.
Ability to interrogate and analyse information to solve problems and make justifiable and defensible decisions IT literate and able to pick up systems quickly.
The role involves a number of systems including: Storm, Niche, Visor, ECINS and Microsoft office.
