The Sales Manager develops and implements strategic sales plans, as well as coaching and managing Medical Representatives, Product specialists or Account managers to achieve the company’s sales targets. The Sales Manager can be part of a team of Sales Managers, in all cases they report directly to the National Sales Manager. Generally, the Sales Manager has experience as a Medical representative or Account manager.

Qualifications (Education)
This position requires a Bachelor degree or higher, no preferable study discipline. Relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. All candidates must have a background focused on pharmaceutical sales; however, a broader background including marketing or project management is seen as an advantage. Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and market developments is required.

Tasks
o Develop and implement an effective strategic sales plan, with a clear vision on sales and practical actions on short, average and long-term
o Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key opinion leaders and contacts with other relevant agents
o Lead and influence a successful and experienced team to new, higher levels of sales performance
o Attend (international) congresses, symposia and workshops to represent company in a positive and professional manner
o Identify innovative methods of promoting company and its services to the Healthcare Industry
o Monitor, analyse sales, market trends
o Responsible for managing and controlling the sales budget
