Public Sector Resourcing is proud to deliver SOW Management services to the UK Central Government.
This solution will go live in August 2021 and will bring visibility and control to the request and lifecycle management processes for new Statement of Work requirements.
The role: Vendor Manager SOW(Band 4)
Working in partnership with stakeholders across AMS and our PSL of SOW services providers, this role is accountable for ensuring the SOW PSL is fit for purpose and that the associated vendors are performing to the required standards.
This role, working with the Senior Manager – SOW will be accountable for ensuring a robust PSL of vendors is in place with the required capability to deliver against the SOW’s raised by the client.
The Vendor Manager – SOW will also be accountable for the Sourcing of all new Vendors where a gap in the PSL is identified.
Key responsibilities:
The Vendor Manager - SOW will collaborate with key functions across AMS and external services providers to support the delivery of SOW goals across UK Central Government and will be responsible for:
- The PSR SOW PSL ensuring that there are sufficient vendors in place to meet the spectrum of requirements for the client
- Ongoing management of Services Provider performance, acting upon escalations and addressing any areas of underperformance.
- Managing suppliers who are delivering SOWs against their obligations
- Collaborating with the Senior Manager- SOW to ensure accurate expert coverages of disciples and geographies
- Leading on the selection and commercial negotiations for all new Services Provider vendors where gaps have been identified on the PSL
- Ensuring that the AMS robust vendor engagement principles are adhered to in relation to a new vendor engagement
- New vendor onboarding and training, plus addressing any additional training requirements while on the PSL
- Conducting the PSL review in conjunction with the clients who engage AMS for SOW Management services
- Services Provider communications and engagement to enable vendors to meet the requirements of the client SOW
- First point of contact for contractual or governance queries from the Services Providers or the client in relation to the PSL make up
- Overseeing the provision of SOW Business Intelligence from Power BI in relation to the PSL or Service Provider performance (Delivered by the BI team)
- Evaluating cost saving opportunities through benchmarking, renegotiation and volume leverage
The Vendor Manager - SOW must have the following experience:
- Significant experience working in Procurement or Purchasing Teams
- Demonstration of both operational know how and commercial acumen.
- Proven track record of Vendor management across a large and varied supplier base.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships.
- Proven track record in the procurement or letting of contracts/SOW’s
- Experience in delivering measurable benefits to clients through Commercial negotiations.
- Experience in building a supply chain that delivers into public sector clients
- Experience in performance management of a supply chain and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) principles
