We are looking for a Talent Advisor (Band 3) to join our specialist head office hiring team with a successful Retail Banking client.
The Talent Advisor role is a hybrid Senior Recruiter/ Advisory role, with 70% of your time aligned to recruitment delivery of both volume and specialist reqs, 20% on advisory support and 10% to other ad hoc activities.
The Talent Advisor will provide strategic and advisory support to client hiring managers and local client HR teams, utilising their expertise to help them get the right hiring outcomes. They will have specialised knowledge of local recruitment practices and the client’s business area. This will include recommending approaches, making considered challenges and leading constructive discussions when confronted with barriers to hiring such as talent availability or market expectations.
There may be some travel required to London & Milton Keynes primarily once COVID travel restrictions end.
As a Talent Advisor you will:
- Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with hiring managers. Act as a strategic partner and advisor regarding the sourcing and recruitment process
- Develop end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies to meet longer term client requirements
- Develop and support the sourcing strategy in collaboration with the Sourcer for each role/business unit, including web-based and direct sourcing. Agree the strategy with the hiring manager
- Develop and manage the talent pipeline or talent pooling strategy for business unit/local country/market
- Provide strategic support to the wider client business as required, e.g. to drive awareness of internal mobility, referral and non-permanent hiring, diversity and inclusion, etc
- Deliver market intelligence and insight to hiring community and HR stakeholders, including salary benchmarking, internal and external supply and demand, assessment approaches to support decision making
- Share best practice approaches and client culture with other members of the talent team, supporting them in achieving success in their role
- Ensure the recruitment service is delivered in line with contractual obligations and client service level agreements
- Lead vacancy consultation discussions in partnership the Sourcer to agree recruitment plans with hiring managers and document outcomes of the intake meeting.
- Collaborate with Sourcing team on the iterative process of narrowing down high-quality candidate shortlists through timely feedback and review discussions.
- Support the hiring manager with hiring decisions and guide them in determining an appropriate offer.
- Manage the offer process and close the candidate.
Skills and Experience
- Proven ability to be proactive in engaging and managing stakeholders both virtually and face to face
- Demonstrable ability to position and solve issues for senior client.
- Demonstrable subject matter expertise and commercial acumen
- Experience of working to and meeting demanding targets and deadlines
- Experience of behavioural / competency-based interviewing
- Experience of developing and delivering end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies to meet client requirements. Experience of managing candidates through the recruitment process remotely or in-house setting.
- Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies
- Proven ability to work in a highly complex matrix organisation
- Experience of using recruitment technology and databases
- Understanding of legislation affecting area of work
- Willing to travel to other client locations for meetings, hiring events and training, as requested
