The Role

The Sourcing Manager is the key owner for sourcing strategy, delivery and relationship management between the sourcing function and other client services, sales team and recruiting teams. You will be a key owner of building and designing our go to market strategy for all sourcing solutions under the direction of the Regional Head of Sourcing.

As a Sourcing Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of delivery for solution design within sourcing and response management for RFP under the Sourcing Center of Excellence. You will ensure that all new sourcing deals are effectively executed against the SGG & Sourcing COE principles for internal or external sourcing and engagement strategy whilst also identifying areas for innovation and continuous improvement. You will also demonstrate the ability to credibly offer sourcing solutions that are appropriate for client business. As such, you will be expected to hold and maintain a sound level of specialist and technical expertise in relation to sourcing strategies, recruitment models, best practice recruitment and sourcing tools and technology.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive in region performance in our sourcing solution offerings in all sectors including Project Based work. Ensuring our sourcing metrics models are being proposed on all sourcing deals
  • Have a strong understanding of all deals in region and what deliverables will be needed from the Sourcing CoE.
  • Identify opportunities for value add and scope expansion when applicable to support tech and opportunities for new business within current client accounts.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to client stakeholders, Client Services teams and Sales Teams to developing and maintaining proactive and constructive relationships through your understanding of their business.
  • Provide leadership support alongside the Regional Head of Sourcing to partner with senior client stakeholders to define resourcing strategies and plans that meet medium to long term business objectives and enable AMS to input into the strategy as appropriate.
  • Manage senior stakeholders in a fast moving, complex and often demanding landscape, enhancing AMS’ reputation as a Trusted Advisor in the recruiting process
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the sourcing value proposition within the Sourcing Centre of Excellence and bring this to life with Client Service’s and Sales teams
  • Keep abreast of market intelligence and industry trends (e.g. new technology, recruitment metrics, legislative changes) and use this insight to develop resourcing plans
  • Develop a robust and effective sourcing solutions that can be delivered in partnership with Insights, and Attraction & Media. You will look to drive and drive continuous improvement in these areas based on your knowledge of sourcing best practices, tools, technologies and methodologies to support key areas such as candidate engagement.
  • Work with in region Sales teams to ensure that sourcing strategies, tools and channel strategy supports achievement of key metrics such as source mix, time to short list etc. Work with AMS peers to understand best practices an opportunity for innovation leveraging experience from other client groups
  • Work closely with our Global head of insights to drive our value proposition of insights in the region and how to build into our Sourcing Strategies in sectors such as Tech, Pharma, and Banking.
  • Responsible for ensuring there is a strong understanding of the Sourcing Centre of Excellence principles, and sourcing models in region.
  • Understand AMS people are a key market differentiator and genuinely committed to the development of direct reports and the team in accordance with the Global Sourcing Strategy.
  • Make team a great place to work - drive operational excellence, wellbeing, engagement and retention. Invest in building team capability through regular development and career planning. Lead virtual teams, unifying direct and indirect reports behind shared priorities of productivity, account profitability and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Work with the senior manager to define the type and level of resources required to effectively achieve delivery and profitability targets.
  • Ensures robust succession planning on all Sourcing CoE accounts ensuring that all Sourcers and Managers have stretching balance scorecard metrics and development plans in place. Maintain regular communication with team members, including conducting ongoing performance and development conversations and virtual team collaboration sessions

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of leading sourcing solutions for clients within the Pharma, Banking or Tech.
  • Experience of developing and delivering sourcing strategies and processes to improve outcomes (e.g. decreased time to hire, increased quality of hire, source mix etc.) to clients in one or more sectors
  • Experience of leading sourcing delivery solutions / teams in both the EMEA and NAM regions
  • Experience of presenting to and solving issues for senior clients (e.g. HR Leaders, Heads of Business) and gaining their agreement to a course of action. Demonstrable ability to build a position as a trusted advisor
  • Deep knowledge of key performance levers and metrics that help drive sourcing outcomes and results in accordance with key client SLA’s
  • Ability to liaise with and influence all levels of management to agree a change of direction or new process
  • Track record of managing complex, high-profile recruitment projects and multiple campaigns
  • Subject matter expertise in local recruitment practices including sourcing strategies, recruitment models, best practice recruitment. Able to use market intelligence and analyze market trends to provide insights to clients e.g. new technology, sourcing metrics, legislative changes
  • Experience of people management and development within sourcing with demonstrable ability to manage, coach and develop direct reports
  • Experience leading virtual/remote teams – proven ability to enable collaboration, engagement and operational excellence among dispersed teams
  • Agile in response to change or uncertainty - able to cope with and lead a small team and client through significant change
  • Resilient under pressure - experience working to and achieving demanding targets, ratios and SLAs and working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Desirable:

  • Experience of driving continuous improvement projects within sourcing
  • Experience of participating in or leading Monthly Operations Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews or other performance discussions with client stakeholders on behalf of Sourcing
  • Knowledge of AMS Sourcing Technology stack and areas of innovation within sourcing
