Role overview:
Public Sector Resourcing is proud to deliver SOW Management services to the UK Central Government.
This solution will go live in August 2021 and will bring visibility and control to the request and lifecycle management processes for new Statement of Work requirements.
Working in partnership with senior stakeholders across AMS, and Strategic 3rd party partners, this role is accountable for overseeing the day to day operation of the SOW solution. Working for the Client Operations Director – PSR, the Senior Manager will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to those Government Departments who are engaging with PSR for SOW services.
The Senior Procurement Manager (Band 5) will collaborate with key functions across AMS and our external partners, to lead initiatives that support the achievement of SOW revenue goals across UK Central Government.
The Senior Procurement Manager - SOW will be responsible for:
- The delivery of the PSR SOW proposition ensuring service excellence for the client
- Leadership of the PSR SOW team of SOW Consultants and Administrators, ensuring the right levels of resources are in place and skilled to the required standards to deliver the SOW service and to achieve the defined SLA’s/KPI’s
- Building strategic relationships with the Government to whom AMS deliver SOW services to and being part of key discussions to develop and maintain the SOW strategy
- Educating the Client/ Operational Contract Managers (OCM’s) on the SOW solution and the effectiveness of SOW as an engagement channel
- Deputising for the Client Operations Director
- Collaboration with the client and providing performance management information on monthly and quarterly reviews
- Engagement with Customer Success Team and Resourcing Technology engage with SAP Fieldglass (VMS provider), seeking opportunities to address any operational issues
- Overseeing the provision of SOW Business Intelligence from Power BI (Delivered by the BI team)
- Troubleshooting and acting as point of escalation on operational issues raised internally by the PSR SOW team, wider AMS team or through the client
- Input and support to the PSR SOW P&L and associated revenue targets
- Lead on SoW financials, delivering quarterly forecasts and investigating any shortfalls
- Identify and deliver continuous improvements to enhance service excellence for the client
- Responsible for identifying business development opportunities and engaging with the Client Operations Director
- Keep abreast of market intelligence and industry trends (e.g. new technology, SOW metrics, legislative changes) and use this insight to develop strategy plans
The Senior Procurement Manager - SOW must have the following experience:
- Significant experience working in Procurement or Contingent/Recruitment industry. Including experience in operationalising SOW services.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing and category management principles
- Experience of government procurement approaches and policy
- Experience of public sector procurement regulations and directives
- Demonstration of both operational know how and commercial acumen.
- Proven track record of delivering the implementation and/or roll out of new service lines with material benefits achieved
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with deep understanding of the contingent marketplace.
- Experience in delivering measurable cost savings to clients through Contingent or SOW solutions.
- Experience of providing performance management information to clients
