The Role
At AMS, Intelligent Automation is at the forefront of our business strategy as we seek to create new opportunities and improve the way we operate. We have already deployed a number of automated processes, which have improved the efficiency and effectiveness of several internal processes and have generated great interest from a range of our clients. Our goal is to build upon these successes and to automate a vast array of projects and processes using a range of technologies. In order to achieve this we are seeking to expand our Automation team and hire a highly motivated Automation Engineer whose knowledge, experience, and dedication will help us to reach our goals.
What you'll do:
You will have responsibility for:
- Designing and developing automated Business and Technology solutions with the aid of RPA (specifically Blue Prism), Middleware solutions, or chatbot tools (Bot Framework & LUIS).
- Configuring automated processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, reusable and easy to understand.
- Identifying new process opportunities and accurately analysing & estimating those processes as part of a feasibility study.
- Producing functional and technical documentation (both client-facing and internal) in support of the developed processes.
- Implementing Design/Build/Test/Deploy phases for solutions, in both waterfall and agile working practices.
- Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Resolving issues that arise in day-to-day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
- Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
- Creation and execution of test strategies and scripts and supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
- Communicating with software vendors’ support team for technical issues and participating with other users in the automation community.
- Undergoing training in other technologies in order to expand and improve the Automation teams capabilities.
What we need from you
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Experience using automation or middleware tools at an operational level. This can include:
- Robotic Process Automation tools – Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere or UI Path OR
- Test automation tools – e.g. HP UFT, Selenium etc OR
- Chatbot technologies – Bot Framework, IBM Watson, Dialogflow etc OR
- Middleware or BPM tools – Appian, Dell Boomi, Mulesoft etc
- Experience with Web Services (RESTful, SOAP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to independently overcome obstacles and resolve complex issues
- Good analytical and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects and meet schedules.
- Excellent communication skills to clarify expectations and drive alignment, especially the ability to explain technical detail to non-technical colleagues
- Highly motivated, resilient and able to adapt to change.
- Strong process mapping and requirements gathering ability.
- Creative and Innovative thinker to propose and/or implement new solutions
Desirable Skills & Requirements
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of Azure platform
- SQL exposure (working knowledge of T-SQL, Views, Stored Procedures, SSIS, etc.)
- Understanding of BPM - background in servicing processes, preferably back office fulfilment functions.
- Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies.
