The Role

This is a FTC to cover maternity leave which offers you the opportunity to work within AMS’ Global Procurement function which has team based in Belfast, London and Krakow. 

Reporting directly to the Agency Category Manager, who is also based in Belfast, you will be expected to assist with providing a range of strategic and operational functions.  

Specifically, you will act as the interface between AMS and our wider agency supply network to drive strategic relationships across all functional areas that AMS recruit within. You will be expected to fortify the relationships with our agency supplier network and to ensure that the highest quality of delivery is received.

 

This will involve supporting the Agency Category Manager with the following:

  • The selection and commercial negotiation and management of a revenue generating Strategic Agency Partner Programme
  • Establishing a competitive, motivated and committed framework of suppliers to support all aspects of the AMS business within their chosen field of excellence
  • The Performance Management of Strategic Agency Partners across all clients and the ongoing development of their service offering to exceed the expectations of the AMS Client base
  • Development and implementation of supply chain management best practice across AMS to underpin the perception of our quality in the recruitment agency marketplace, to drive consistency and efficiency and ensure AMS is seen as the premier global RPO with which to work.
  • The ongoing development of the systems and processes to obtain a detailed understanding of the market to guide and direct the business and to support development opportunities
  • Working with the delivery teams to identify the business need and potential gaps in supply
  • Managing internal stakeholder relationships to promote procurement’s influence, ensure compliance and that procurement is perceived as a value-add support function that the business wants to engage with.
  • Support category sponsors and Head of Procurement on baseline pricing and savings initiatives
  • Attend operational reviews with Suppliers and Partner Agencies.
  • Attend regular internal reviews e.g. category sponsors and account teams

 

What we need from you

Essential

  • Proven experience in recruitment and managing internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience preferably gained in agency or have worked in a procurement role previously
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and desire to learn quickly on the job.
  • Desire to become a specialist in agency, so determination to build up knowledge and network of agency supplier base in UK and EMEA.

Desirable

  • Understanding of capabilities within an agency function – gained from agency experience or having worked in recruitment
  • Proven ability to present or host webinars.
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience of AMS from a sourcing role but will consider someone with less with right attributes.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing challenging situations in a professional manner
